Wrestlers Candlelight Protest 1

Wrestlers Candlelight Protest: Wrestlers, who have been protesting for the past one month at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, took out a candle march on Tuesday. This march was taken out from Jantar Mantar to India Gate. Top wrestlers Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat etc were leading the march. Many women and common people participated in it. The wrestlers raised the demand for the arrest of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, President of the Wrestling Federation of India.

After the march was over, wrestler Vinesh Phogat said that as farmers’ organizations and khap panchayats, our elders have decided that on May 28 there will be a Mahila Mahapanchayat in front of the new Parliament. People of all classes will participate in this, but only women will lead the mahapanchayat. Just like we have done a candle march in a peaceful manner today, we have also decided to conduct Mahila Mahapanchayat in a peaceful manner.

Kamal Haasan supported the wrestlers

Actor Kamal Haasan has come in support of the protesting wrestlers. Taking to Twitter, the actor wrote that it has been a month since the athletes of the wrestling fraternity have been on strike. They are forced to fight for personal security instead of fighting for national pride. Many fans of Kamal Haasan also supported him with the hashtag I stand with my champions. Explain that Kamal formed the political party Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) in 2018 in Tamil Nadu. These days he is working for his party.

Brijbhushan Singh said – He used to touch my feet earlier

Wrestlers have alleged sexual harassment against Wrestling Federation President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. On Tuesday, Brij Bhushan Singh said that I will never go to meet them (wrestlers). Earlier they used to touch my feet and now they sit on dharna. They are victims of conspiracy. This is not a case of sexual harassment, but of good touch-bad touch.

Earlier, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh had challenged the wrestlers to get narco test done. Wrestlers have accepted it. On Monday, Bajrang Punia said that we are all ready for any test, but it should be done under the supervision of the Supreme Court. Narco test should be live so that the whole country can hear the questions and answers.
