Wrestler Protest: Rio Olympics bronze medalist wrestler Sakshi Malik on Wednesday threw a big challenge to Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Sakshi said that if she is convinced of her honesty, she should be subjected to a lie detector narco test. He was accused of sexual harassment by seven wrestlers. The protesting wrestlers have also said that they will oppose the holding of competitions if Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh is involved in the work of WFI.
Sakshi Malik gave this challenge in the press conference held at Jantar Mantar. He said that I challenge the WFI president to take the narco test. We are also ready to investigate. Let the truth come out that who is guilty and who is not.

Bajrang Punia said – PM your daughter on the road

Wrestlers on strike since April 23
Let us inform that many wrestlers including Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik are protesting at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar from 23rd April. He claimed that six female wrestlers and a minor have filed a sexual harassment complaint against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh at Connaught Place. In the police station but the Delhi Police did not register an FIR. The protesting wrestlers also demanded that the Sports Ministry make public the findings of the monitoring committee.
Following the Supreme Court’s notice, the Delhi Police registered two FIRs on April 28. Earlier in January, the wrestlers staged a sit-in. Following which the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports constituted a ‘Monitoring Committee’ to look into the allegations against WFI President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and some coaches.
