New Delhi: RCB suffered their fifth consecutive defeat in the match played between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Delhi Capitals on Monday under the Women’s Premier League (WPL). RCB, electing to bat first, scored 150 runs losing 4 wickets in 20 overs.
Chasing this target, Delhi Capitals won the match with two balls and 6 balls remaining. Alice Kepsey scored 38, Jemima Rodrigues 32, Marijne Kapp 32 and Jess Jonassen scored 29 runs for the Capitals to win their team. After this defeat, RCB are at the bottom of the points table with 0 points after 5 losses and -2.109 net run rate, while Delhi Capitals have won 4 out of 5 matches to reach second place with 8 points.
After winning all their matches, will have to depend on other teams
Team RCB, captained by Smriti Mandhana, has now become a very difficult task to enter the final of this tournament. The team will next play against UP Warriors on March 15, Gujarat Giants on March 18 and Mumbai Indians on March 21. If RCB gets a big win in all these matches, then it will be able to have 6 points. In such a situation, he will have to hope that UP Warriors and Gujarat Giants lose their next matches. After that she will be able to play eliminator or playoff. Although it is quite difficult.
