New Delhi: Ahead of the WPL, Gujarat Giants have suffered a major setback. West Indies star all-rounder Deandra Dottin has been ruled out of the tournament. Dottin is still recovering from the injury. The Giants named Australian all-rounder Kim Garth as the replacement. Means Garth won the lottery while sitting. Giants bought Dottin in the auction for Rs 60 lakhs after bidding for a base price of Rs 50 lakhs.
Garth was unsold last month
The special thing is that Garth was unsold in the auction last month. She was with the Australia team that won the T20 World Cup in South Africa at the time of the auction. Garth played only two warm-up matches before the World Cup, including one against his former team Ireland. She had recently moved to Australia.
