Women’s Junior Hockey Asia Cup 2023: The title match of the Women’s Junior Hockey World Cup 2023 was played between India and South Korea on Sunday. Team India created history in this match. South Korea’s challenge was in front of Team India in the final. India beat South Korea, the most successful team in the history of the tournament, 2-1. With this, the team won this title for the first time.

Indian team scored the first goal

Both the teams failed to score a single goal in the first quarter of the match. However, right from the start of the second quarter, India switched to attacking mode and got a goal through Anu in the 22nd minute. However, South Korea made it 1-1 three minutes later thanks to a goal by Park Seo Yeon. After which Neelam took charge in the 41st minute of the match and scored from the right side of the South Korean goalkeeper to put India ahead 2-1 in what proved to be the decisive score.
