West Bengal News: Border Security Force (BSF) personnel posted along the India-Bangladesh border in North Bengal have recovered snake venom worth Rs 13 crore from Hili area. The special thing is that the glass jar in which it was being smuggled had a golden dragon tag of Made in France on it. The glass jar is also bullet proof.
In a statement issued by the BSF on Monday, it has been told that in the morning, illegal smuggling was reported on the border in the Geshpur border outpost area of Hilli police station in South Dinajpur district. After which the siege was done. On searching the concerned area, a jar bearing the tag of Made in France was recovered. Snake’s poison is filled in this.
The smugglers escaped by breaking the siege
It has been handed over to the Balurghat Forest Department. BSF says that two smugglers have fled from the spot after getting a clue of the presence of the jawans. Search for him is going on. It is worth mentioning that even before this, snake venom has been recovered several times on the border in the same way.
