Odisha: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met her Odisha counterpart Naveen Patnaik on Thursday. After this, suddenly the discussion about the Third Front has again intensified in the political corridor. It is Mamta Banerjee who has started the exercise of uniting regional parties against the BJP.
However, Mamta Banerjee called the meeting a ‘courtesy call’. On the other hand, the Chief Minister of Odisha said that there was no political discussion during the meeting. We have resolved to make the federal structure of the country stable and strong. There was no other political discussion.
Both the leaders sidestepped questions on the possibility of a third front or regional alliance for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
