Bengal Panchayat Election: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) IT Cell chief Amit Malviya made a big allegation on TMC on Sunday. He said that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) changed the ‘ballot box’ in Malda, West Bengal. Amit Malviya alleged in a tweet that TMC’s change was caught in ‘ballot box’ operation Malda.
He said that TMC workers were caught red-handed at many places changing ballot boxes with the help of contractors and local administration before reaching the strong room.

Three ballot boxes found in drain in Murshidabad
Also in another incident, three ballot boxes were found in a drain in Murshidabad, where violence broke out after the panchayat elections. A local said that the situation is not good after the elections, even the general public is not coming out due to fear. The general public is in panic. TMC threatens if anyone comes out.
Earlier in the day, BJP MP Khagen Murmu alleged vote-rigging in the West Bengal panchayat elections and demanded re-polling in Malda. Let us inform that there is news of widespread violence, looting of ballot papers and rigging in the three-tier panchayat elections in 20 districts.
Booth capturing, damage to ballot boxes and attacks on presiding officers were reported from several districts like Murshidabad, Cooch Behar, Malda, South 24 Parganas, North Dinajpur and Nadia.
Polling for 73,887 seats in rural areas of West Bengal took place at 7 am on Saturday amid tight security in the state, with voters deciding the fate of nearly 2.06 lakh candidates. The counting of votes will take place on July 11.
