Weather Update: These days a big change is being seen in the country on the weather front. Monsoon has reached the entire country and it is raining heavily in many areas. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), the monsoon has covered more than 80 percent of the country’s areas. MID has predicted light to heavy rains in 24 states of the country today.

Monsoon has advanced further into states like Gujarat and Punjab. Monsoon rains will occur over the next 5 days in East, Central, North West and West of India.
Meanwhile, there is a possibility of rain in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh today. The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert for heavy rains in Aad Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa.

According to private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, moderate to heavy rain is expected over Madhya Pradesh, parts of Chhattisgarh, East Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Konkan and Goa, Gujarat region, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. Light to moderate rains with isolated heavy falls are possible over Northeast Bihar, Kerala, Coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep.
