Weather Update: The month of March has started from today. Holi is just a week away and the weather has turned rosy after the bitter cold. Weather patterns are changing rapidly. At present, it is getting mild cold weather in the morning and evening. Whereas in the afternoon, due to the strong sunlight, the heat is now being felt. Till a few days ago, where the sun was pleasant, now it has become difficult to sit in it due to the increase in heat.

Winter break and summer entry has taken place from the plains of North India. In many places the mercury has reached close to 40 degrees. However, the weather pattern is still cold in the hilly areas of North India. In many places, the period of snowfall and rain is still going on.

Meanwhile, a Western Disturbance is becoming active. Due to which the weather is expected to change. Due to the activation of Western Disturbance, partly cloudy conditions prevailed in the mountainous areas and the possibility of snowfall has also increased. Today, there is a possibility of light rain and snow at many places in the higher reaches of Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Along with this, there are chances of rain and hailstorm accompanied by strong wind in some areas of northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Manipur. Due to this, there is a possibility of damage to wheat and mustard crops.

The maximum temperature in Delhi-NCR is desperate to cross 30 degrees and reach close to 35 degrees. Heat wave has started in Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra and in many places the mercury has reached close to 40 degree Celsius. The mercury is also above normal in the states of North India like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand. Due to which people have started feeling the heat like May in February itself. Last week, most parts of northern and western parts of the country recorded maximum temperatures of 5-11 degrees Celsius above normal.

Many parts are already recording high temperatures which are usually recorded in the second-third week of March. The heat wave in the country in the month of February is usually seen in the month of March before this. This has increased the concerns of meteorologists as well as common people about the heatwave and heat wave this year.

According to private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in the western Himalayas. Heavy snowfall may also occur at many places. Scattered rain is likely over Punjab, Haryana, Northwest Rajasthan, Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, South Tamil Nadu, parts of Kerala and southern parts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Light to very light rain may occur over Delhi NCR and Northwest Uttar Pradesh.
