New Delhi: On Wednesday, two explosions occurred one after the other in the court in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, in which one was killed and two were injured. Ukrainian Minister Igor Klimenko said a man blew himself up in the court complex, injuring two law enforcement officers. Minister Igor Klimenko said on social media, “A criminal died at the scene. As per preliminary information, he blew himself up.”

Klymenko said two law enforcement officers were wounded during the assault on the compound. The blast took place at 5.20 pm in the toilet of the court. According to the local administration, a person detonated an explosive device in a toilet. The man was taken to the court for a hearing. However, till now no information has been revealed between that person and Russia.

Klimenko said, “There is an emergency in Kiev’s Shevchenkivsky Court. The police got information about the explosion. Police investigation teams, special forces, explosives experts and other essential services arrived at the scene. After the first explosion, the AFP news agency claimed it heard another explosion at the district court in the Ukrainian capital. Local media reported that two people were carried away on stretchers after law enforcement officers arrived at the scene.
