Mumbai: Maharashtra’s politics has come to a boil over the statement of Chandrakant Patil, Minister of Higher and Technical Education in Eknath Shinde’s government, regarding the Babri Masjid. On Tuesday, former CM Uddhav Thackeray called Chandrakant Patil’s statement an insult to Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray. They demanded the resignation of CM Shinde along with the sacking of Patil.
Uddhav Thackeray said where were these people when the Babri Masjid was demolished? His voice is coming out after so many years. He said, ‘I believe this is the trick of the BJP. Gradually, they want to remove the importance of Hindu Hriday Samrat (Balasaheb Thackeray) from the minds of the people. They do not have any leader who has participated in the freedom struggle. They are stealing everyone’s ideals.
Shinde has no right to use Balasaheb’s name
Uddhav Thackeray said that after the Babri demolition, BJP leader Sunder Singh Bhandari had distanced himself from the Babri Masjid demolition. Had entered the burrow like a rat. At that time, I remember that Balasaheb got a call and was told that Babri has been demolished. Then Balasaheb said that if the Shiv Sainiks broke it, then I am proud. Targeting Eknath Shinde in gestures, Uddhav Thackeray said that those who are using Balasaheb’s name, first clear their opinion, otherwise don’t use Balasaheb’s name.
Patil had said – there was no Shiv Sainik in Babri demolition
Minister Chandrakant Patil on Monday claimed that not a single Shiv Sena worker was involved in the Babri Masjid demolition. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and MP Sanjay Raut talks about Babri Masjid visions, but a question arises in his mind whether he was even in Ayodhya at that time.
Chandrakant Patil gave clarification
Minister Chandrakant Patil has given clarification after the controversy caught fire. He said that I will call Uddhav Thackeray myself. I would ask them that how can you have such misconceptions about me, I have not said that. A worker like me will always have reverence for Balasaheb Thackeray. It was because of Balsaheb that Hindus were safe during the riots.
BJP MLA asked- What was your contribution?
BJP MLA Nitesh Rane has attacked Uddhav Thackeray. He said that Balasaheb’s contribution is important for the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. But he should also tell what was the contribution of Uddhav Thackeray. Uddhav Thackeray hid in the Taj in Bandra when Mumbai was flooded. Balasaheb was left alone.
Rane also said that neither CM Shinde nor any Shiv Sena leader agreed with the statement made by Chandrakant Patil. Why didn’t Uddhav Thackeray take resignation from Nawab Malik, who is related to Don Dawood, who is demanding from us today.
