Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu dies in Turkish Earthquake, body found in rubble after 12 days

Christian Atsu: Ghanaian footballer and former Newcastle midfielder Christian Atsu has died in the Turkey earthquake. Local media quoted his manager as saying on Saturday that Christian Etsu’s body had been found under the rubble of his residence in Turkey.

Christian Etsu’s manager in Turkey, Murat Uzunmehmet, told the DHA news agency on Saturday that his body was found under rubble in Turkey’s southern province of Hatay. Uzunmehmet told reporters in Hatay, “Atsu’s body was found under the rubble. More items are being removed now. His phone has also been found.”

Agent Nana Sechere said – the dead body recovered this morning

The Ghanaian footballer’s agent Nana Sechere tweeted that it is with sadness that I have to announce to all well wishers that Atsu’s body was recovered this morning. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. Earlier on February 14, Nana Sechere had tweeted that it has been 9 days since the earthquake and there is no information about Christian Etsu.

He had tweeted that I am at the earthquake site with the family of Christian Etsu. Debris is spread all over here. It is heart-wrenching to see the condition of the earthquake victims.
