Ingredients for making tomato fritters
4 to 5 tomatoes
1 bowl gram flour
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp chaat masala
oil for frying
salt to taste
How to make Tomato Fritters
To make tomato fritters, first wash them thoroughly. After that wipe them with a cloth. Now cut the tomatoes into big slices and put red chili powder, turmeric, chaat masala, salt on top of the tomato slices in a utensil, cover it and keep it aside. Now take a vessel and put gram flour in it. After this add turmeric, red chilli powder and salt as per taste to gram flour and mix it. Now prepare a batter by adding a little water to the gram flour.
After this, put oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame. While the oil is heating, you wrap the gram flour with tomato slices well in the gram flour batter. When the oil becomes hot, one by one, you wrap the tomato slices in gram flour and put them in the pan.
Now deep fry the pakoras for a minute or two. Keep turning the pakoras after a while so that they get cooked properly. Deep fry the tomato fritters till they turn golden brown in color from both the sides. After that take out the pakodas in a plate. Your tasty tomato pakoras are ready. You serve them with green chutney.
