Vehicular movement resumes on NH-37 under army supervision in Manipur
Vehicular movement has started on NH-37 in Manipur from May 15. Due to the ongoing tension in Manipur, supplies were stopped in the Imphal Valley. Roads were closed and there was fear in transports as well. As a result, essential supplies were dwindling in the state. Therefore, the Army and the Assam Rifles ensured the security of vehicles carrying essential goods in the Valley and started their movement from May 15.

On 15 May, a convoy of 28 vehicles including trucks, fuel tankers, JCBs carrying rice, sugar, pulses and fuel was sent from Noney to Imphal under the protection of CRPF and Manipur Police. About 100 vehicles were dispatched on 16 and 17 May.

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav told that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Vande Bharat train from Puri to Howrah. He will also inaugurate projects worth Rs 8,200 crore. Railway work is going on very fast in Odisha.
The Union Minister said that Prime Minister Modi has allocated Rs 10,000 crore for development works in Odisha. 10 years ago, only Rs 800 crore was allocated for the development of a state that had the potential to become a $1 trillion economy.
