Today is the birthday of great craftsman Ram Vanji Sutar. He was born on this day in 1925. Awarded with Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan, Sutar has made more than 350 statues of Gandhi. The statues of Indira Gandhi, Maulana Azad, Jawaharlal Nehru installed in the Parliament have also been made by Sutar.
