West Bengal Foundation Day: In West Bengal, a tussle continues between Governor Dr. CV Anand Bose and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee regarding the foundation day of the state. Despite Mamata’s displeasure, the West Bengal Day program was organized at the Raj Bhavan on Tuesday. In a statement issued by the Raj Bhavan, all media personnel and people from the enlightened section of the society were invited to the programme. At the same time, Mamta Banerjee said that I spent my life in Bengal, but never heard about Bengal Day.

Mamta wrote a letter to the governor, also called
Mamta Banerjee wrote a letter to the Governor saying that the Governor’s decision to organize the West Bengal Day program is one-sided. No advice was taken from the state government in this regard. June 20 has been associated with the partition, so the West Bengal Day program should not be held at the Raj Bhavan. A letter has been sent from State Secretariat Navan to Raj Bhavan on Monday night. In the letter, he requested the Governor not to organize any program on West Bengal Day.
Apart from this, the Chief Minister had called the Governor on Monday to discuss the matter. Both talked for a long time. Later a letter was sent from Navan to the Raj Bhavan. The letter also mentions the Governor’s conversation with the Chief Minister. Mamta wrote, ‘During the conversation with you, you have agreed that it is not right to declare West Bengal Day unilaterally and without any discussion. You have assured me that you will not organize any such event.
Government has nothing to do with organizing
Mamta claims that no event like West Bengal Day has been organized in Bengal since independence. The incident of Partition has always been remembered by Bengal as the rise of a communal force. He also wrote, ‘West Bengal was not born on any particular day. We were born and brought up in Bengal. Never seen any event like West Bengal Day here. Any political party can organize such a program for its vendetta politics, but the government has nothing to do with any such event.
Political enmity can arise
Mamta said that ‘Bangla art culture is of a very high level, which has a long history. Freedom movement, renaissance, social reform originated from Bengal. Therefore, such an event by you can create suspicion, mistrust and political enmity among the people.
