In January itself, anti-India elements vandalized several temples in different parts of Australia. Anti-India slogans were written in Melbourne’s Albert Park on 23 January. The incident took place a few days after the vandalism of the Shree Shiv Vishnu Temple in Carrom Downs, Australia. On January 12, the BAPS Swaminarayan Temple in Mill Park, Australia was vandalized with anti-India and anti-Hindu slogans.

Temples were targeted in Bangladesh three weeks ago

Apart from Canada and Australia, temples were also targeted in Bangladesh three weeks ago. Dozens of idols were damaged in several temples. Police had said that on February 5, 14 idols were vandalized in 12 Hindu temples under Baliyadangi Upazila in Thakurgaon, the northern district of Bangladesh. Tension prevailed in the area after the incident.
