Telangana Politics: Before PM Modi’s visit, Telangana police detained BJP state president Bandi Sanjay late on Tuesday night. It is being told that the police reached his residence in Karimnagar after midnight from where he was taken into custody.

According to news agency ANI, a police team reached the MP’s residence in Karimnagar following which a tense atmosphere prevailed. Bandi Sanjay’s supporters and party workers tried to stop the police. Activists told that the police dragged the prisoner Sanjay and made him sit inside the police van. He was then taken to the Bommala Ramaram police station in Nalgonda district.

Telangana BJP General Secretary made this allegation

As of now, more details about the police action are awaited. On the other hand, State General Secretary of BJP Premendra Reddy said that the prisoner Sanjay was caught illegally from his residence in Karimnagar. Reddy alleged that the police action was nothing more than a hindrance to PM Modi’s program in Telangana.

Reddy asked what was the need for this action against an MP in the middle of the night? What is crime and case? They are not telling us anything. He is being taken to Bhongir. Why is the police taking them there? Reddy alleged that the reason behind this action is that we are raising our voice against the KCR government over the question paper leak issue. All this is against ‘democracy’.

Reddy said – BJP will protest statewide against the action

After the arrest of Bandi Sanjay, State General Secretary Reddy said that a state-wide protest would be launched against this police action. Reddy said that PM Modi is scheduled to visit Telangana on April 8, where he will inaugurate the Vande Bharat Express train from Secunderabad to Tirupati along with several other developmental projects.
