New Delhi: Yashasvi Jaiswal has grabbed headlines as soon as he made his Test debut for the Indian team, hitting 171 runs. He is currently preparing for the second Test which is going to start on 20 July. He is getting praise from the cricket fans for his brilliant debut. Meanwhile, Jaiswal’s brilliant innings of 171 has impressed Sourav Ganguly. Ganguly believes that Jaiswal should be in India’s World Cup squad.
Would like to see Jaiswal play in the World Cup
Ganguly said- I would like to see Jaiswal play in the upcoming ODI World Cup. This youngster has got the guts and skills to go ahead. I have seen him closely during IPL, but red ball cricket is different. He has the potential to succeed there as well. I think he can serve Indian cricket for a long time.
Bowler has problem
The former India captain insisted on Jaiswal’s inclusion in the World Cup squad in terms of the team’s strategy. He said- I am always in favor of left-right hand combination in the top order. This causes some problems to the opponent’s attack as the bowlers have to constantly change their line and length. Though Jaiswal has been named in the Asian Games squad, Ganguly believes that if the selectors are not thinking of Asian Games players for the World Cup, then they will have to drop Jaiswal from the Asian Games squad. His name should be considered for the cup.
