In fact, the CM had sought time to meet Governor Anasuya on Friday. After this, the stir has increased in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat and Raj Bhavan. Speculation started that Chief Minister Biren Singh might resign from his post.
As soon as this rumor spread, many women came out in support of Biren Singh at Nupi Lal Complex, about 100 meters away from the CM residence. They have demonstrated outside the residence. The women persuaded the CM not to resign. CM Biren Singh came out of his residence and met the supporting women.

Who will lead us? CM trust
One of the women supporters said that we do not want the CM to resign, he should not resign. He is doing a lot of work for us. We are supporting the CM.
At the same time, another said that we are in a state of turmoil since 2 months. We look forward to the day when the Government of India and the Government of Manipur will resolve this conflict democratically. In such a situation, if the CM of Manipur resigns, how will people live here? Who will lead us? He has been leading us since the beginning of the struggle. I don’t want him to resign. We trust them.
