Sanjay Raut Threat: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has said that he will get the matter investigated after senior Maharashtra leader Sanjay Raut’s allegation of threatening to kill him. CM said that it will be seen in the investigation whether Sanjay Raut is really in danger of his son’s life or it is just a stunt.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday said the state police would look into the security aspects and probe whether there was indeed a threat to Sanjay Raut’s life, as claimed by the Uddhav Sena leader. Ekant Shinde also said that the probe would also look into whether the allegation of hiring a goon for the attack was a stunt by Raut.
The Chief Minister said that we are committed to provide safety and security, but if attempts are made to play with such issues, action will be taken. On the issue of whether Sanjay Raut’s security will be increased or not, the Chief Minister said that they will go by the prescribed rulebook and since there is a committee which looks into the security aspects and who is to be given security, the situation will be seen.
“We will investigate the threat call to Sanjay Raut. We will also investigate if this is a stunt, the state police will take care of security,” says Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde https://t.co/hDWLiDNHvX pic.twitter.com/grE5DBJYYs

Sanjay Raut is close to former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray
Sanjay Raut is close to former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. He is also the executive editor of Shiv Sena (UBT) mouthpiece ‘Saamana’. “I am informing you as a responsible citizen,” Raut said in his letter. He claimed that his security was withdrawn after the change of government in the state.
Raut’s allegations were told by the Shinde faction as a stunt
Reacting to Raut’s allegations, Shinde faction leaders called it a cheap stunt. Aurangabad West MLA Sanjay Shirsat of the Shinde faction had said that Raut was playing cheap tricks to garner sympathy. There is no doubt that this matter deserves a thorough investigation.
