Dadasaheb Phalke Festival: Dadasaheb Phalke Award-winning director Rahul Khan’s Insaniyat has made it to the top 21 short films of the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2023. Rahul Khan’s short film Insaniyat has remained a topic of discussion in the industry for its excellent content.
Shot in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, the film has won huge acclaim at various film festivals even before its release. Just a few months back, Insaniyat was presented at the Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award Films, where it won the Best Short Film Director award.

Now this short film has found a place in the prestigious Top 21 list of Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2023. Rahul Khan directed 16th in the list of short films like Kalsarp, Miss You Dad and Before We Die.
Humanity in the list of top 21 international short films
Talking about this new and important recognition, Rahul Khan says, “It gives me immense pleasure to see Insaniyat in the list of Top 21 International Short Films. The film has been made with a lot of hard work and love. I feel encouraged to have received this acknowledgment from DPIFF. I would like to thank all the team members of Insaniyat, who worked day and night for this.”

Rahul Khan gives a lot of credit for the film’s success to actor Sahil Chowdhary, who helped him when he needed it the most. “During the making of the film, several members of the team left midway. But Sahil supported me in times of crisis and helped me complete the film. Had it not been for his support, the film would not have been made.”
How did the idea of making Insaniyat film come about?
Talking about how the idea of making Insaniyat film came to him, Rahul says that he was deeply moved by seeing the stories of people who were badly affected by life. When he saw people who cared nothing to help others, he was inspired to represent such families through a film.
Insaniyat will be released on OTT platform
Insaniyat also highlights the religious harmony of India, as it talks about the brotherhood of Hindus and Muslims. Insaniyat is produced under the banner of Lulumolu Entertainment and Paris Entertainment India. The film will soon be releasing on a major OTT platform.
