West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee came out in support of the women wrestlers and said, “I am definitely standing with our wrestlers as a human being.” He said that it is very shameful to hurt the honor of our daughters in this way. India stands with its daughters and I as a human being definitely stand with our wrestlers.
Disrobing the honour of our daughters in this manner is utterly shameful. India stands by its daughters and I as a human being definitely stand by our wrestlers. Law is one for all. “Law of the ruler” cant hijack the dignity of these fighters. You can assault them but can’t break…

You can attack them but cannot break their spirits. The fight is right and the fight will go on. Don’t you dare hurt our wrestlers, the country is watching their tears and the country will not forgive you.
Why are the wrestlers protesting?
Indian wrestlers, including Olympic winners, are protesting at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. Wrestlers have accused Boxing Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Singh of sexual harassment. A minor wrestler is also included in the victims. Wrestlers demand that Brij Bhushan Singh be arrested and removed from the post of WFI President.
