New Delhi: The fast-paced style of T20 cricket is its biggest feature. Seeing the match changing every moment, the audience gets goosebumps. A similar scene came to the fore during the Pakistan Super League (PSL). In the match played between Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans on Friday, Multan Sultans won in such a way that there was chaos in the corridors of cricket. Electing to bat first, Peshawar Zalmi’s team scored 242 runs losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. Captain Babar Azam’s 73 in 39 balls, Sam Ayyub’s 58 in 33 balls, Mohammad Harris’ 35 in 11 balls and Tom Cadmore’s 38 in 18 balls contributed a lot in this. Seeing the huge target, it seemed that the Multan Sultans batsmen would lose their sweat in the chase, but the game turned in such a way that it became difficult to believe in the match.
Riley Rossouw’s explosive batting
Riley Rossouw, who came out to bat at number three from Multan Sultans, did such an explosive batting that everyone was stunned. Riley hit 12 fours-8 sixes in 51 balls and hit 121 runs at a strike rate of 237.25. Rossouw scored his hundred in just 41 balls. With this, Rossouw broke his own record by hitting the fastest PSL century. He had earlier set a record for a century in 43 balls in 2020. Along with this, Rossouw hit a half century in just 17 balls. This is one of the fastest fifties in PSL history. Although Asif Ali and Kamran Akmal have also done this feat in 17 balls.
The massive total by Zalmi failed to secure them the sought-after victory because razor-sharp Rossouw stood tall for the Sultans ЁЯСП #SabSitarayHumaray l #HBLPSL8 l #PZvMS pic.twitter.com/thbTKL3Q2X

While Zalmi created history by becoming the first T20 franchise to post 240+ in two consecutive matches, they failed to defend the total on both the occasions. At the same time, Multan Sultans became the fifth team in the world and the first team in PSL to chase the highest in T20.
