Captain Babar Azam’s 73 in 39 balls, Sam Ayyub’s 58 in 33 balls, Mohammad Harris’ 35 in 11 balls and Tom Cadmore’s 38 in 18 balls contributed a lot in this. Seeing the huge target, it seemed that the Multan Sultans batsmen would lose their sweat in the chase, but the game turned in such a way that it became difficult to believe in the match.

Riley Rossouw, who came out to bat at number three from Multan Sultans, did such an explosive batting that everyone was stunned. Riley hit 12 fours-8 sixes in 51 balls and hit 121 runs at a strike rate of 237.25. Rossouw scored his hundred in just 41 balls. With this, Rossouw broke his own record by hitting the fastest PSL century. He had earlier set a record for a century in 43 balls in 2020. Along with this, Rossouw hit a half century in just 17 balls. This is one of the fastest fifties in PSL history. Although Asif Ali and Kamran Akmal have also done this feat in 17 balls.

Sultans became the fifth team in the world and the first team in PSL

With Rossouw, Kieron Pollard hit 52 runs in 25 balls hitting 3 fours and 5 sixes. Anwar Ali scored 24 runs in 8 balls and Usama Mir scored 11 runs in 3 balls to win in 19.1 overs. Along with this, Multan Sultans also registered a record of big win while chasing in T20 cricket. While Zalmi created history by becoming the first T20 franchise to post 240+ in two consecutive matches, they failed to defend the total on both the occasions. At the same time, Multan Sultans became the fifth team in the world and the first team in PSL to chase the highest in T20.

In this case, he broke the record made by Quetta Gladiators on 8 March itself. Zalmi scored 240 runs losing 2 wickets. In response, Gladiators achieved this target in 18.2 overs with 8 wickets. This record is registered in the name of Rajasthan Royals in IPL. The Royals achieved a target of 225 runs against Kings XI Punjab.
