New Parliament House: The time for the inauguration of the new Parliament House is near. The new Parliament built at the Lutyens’ Center in Delhi will be inaugurated on May 28. On Thursday, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla met PM Modi and invited him to inaugurate the new Parliament building. The new Parliament building has been constructed as part of the Central Vista redevelopment project. The new parliament building is four storeyed. There will be seating arrangements for 1224 MPs in this building.
Please tell that PM Modi will be on a foreign tour from Friday till May 24. He will first visit Japan, then Papua New Guinea and Australia.

The Prime Minister visited both the Houses of Parliament and interacted with the workers and officials engaged in the construction.

During the foundation stone laying, Modi said that the need for a new Parliament building was being felt for years. India of the 21st century needs a new Parliament complex. The old building met the needs of the country, the new Parliament building will meet the aspirations of the country.
The new parliament building is 64,500 square meters
The new Parliament House complex is spread over 64,500 square meters and is a part of the Rs 20,000-crore Central Vista project. The cost of the Parliament House project has been estimated at Rs 971 crore. The building is earthquake resistant and will house 2,000 workers directly and 9,000 workers indirectly.
