President Murmu in Serbia: President Draupadi Murmu is on a visit to Serbia. On reaching there, President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic welcomed President Draupadi Murmu at the Presidential Palace in Belgrade with full state honors on Thursday. After this, the representatives of both the countries discussed several issues.

President Draupadi Murmu said that I am very happy to visit Serbia. He said that this is my first state visit to European countries. I thank President Aleksandar Vucic and the people of Serbia for welcoming me and my delegation. He said that our relationship is based on mutual trust and understanding. We are committed to further strengthen this relationship.

President Draupadi Murmu said that President Alexander wants to work with India in every field. Not only this, Serbia is a traditional friend of India, so we are also looking forward to working with them.
The President said that we also resolved to further enhance our long-standing bilateral relations, especially in trade, investment, science-technology, information and digital technologies and connectivity between the two countries. We agreed to strengthen our coordination and cooperation in the United Nations and other multilateral fora.

Meanwhile, in a joint press conference with President Murmu in Belgrade, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that we have discussed starting direct flights between Delhi and Belgrade. We will ease the visa regime with India. We have also discussed cooperation in the field of defence.
