New Delhi: PM Modi addressed the post-budget webinar on ‘PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman’ on Saturday. Addressing the webinar, the PM said that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the launch of the PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana for artisans and craftsmen in the Union Budget 2023.
PM Modi said that small artisans play an important role in local craft production. Vishwakarma Yojana focuses on empowering them. The PM said that newspapers and economic experts discussed this scheme after it was announced in the budget.

Today’s Vishwakarma can become tomorrow’s entrepreneur
PM Modi further said that ‘Lord Vishwakarma is considered to be the ultimate creator’ and the greatest architect. In his sculptures, he is seen holding various tools. In our society, those who create something with their own hands with the help of tools have a rich tradition. The PM said that the objective of this scheme is to develop traditional artisans and craftsmen while maintaining their rich traditions. He said that Vishwakarma of today can become the entrepreneur of tomorrow.
The PM said that there is a need for stability in the business model to achieve the objective of the scheme. Explain that this webinar was a part of the series to implement the initiatives announced in the Union Budget.
