PM Modi said that India will become a developed nation by 2047. He also said that infrastructure development has always been an important pillar in the country’s development process.

In the post budget webinar on ‘Infrastructure and Investment’, the Prime Minister said that at present, the average annual construction of National Highways has almost doubled from what it was before 2014. He further said, ‘Unfortunately, after independence, much needed emphasis was not given on modern infrastructure.’
Gati Shakti National Master Plan
Modi also said that India would achieve the target of becoming a developed nation by 2047. He also said that the Gati Shakti National Master Plan is going to transform India’s infrastructure and multimodal logistics. The post budget webinar is a part of a series of 12 webinars organized by the government to seek ideas and suggestions for effective implementation of initiatives announced during the Union Budget 2023-24.
What was in the budget of 2023?
In the Union Budget, the government adopted seven priorities, which were said to complement each other. These include inclusive growth, reaching the last person, infrastructure and investment, unlocking potential, green growth, youth power and the financial sector.
