Post Budget Webinar: In the post budget webinar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the topic ‘Economic Empowerment of Women’ on Friday. He said that when our daughters are seen protecting the country by going to the army, Rafale is seen flying. So the thinking related to them also changes. India can move fast only by increasing the respect of women and increasing the sense of equality.

Prime Minister Modi said that women have played a big role in the cooperative sector. More than 2 lakh multi-purpose cooperatives – dairy cooperatives and fisheries cooperatives – will be set up in the coming years. He said that out of the crores of people who have been given Mudra loans, about 70% of the beneficiaries are women of the country. These women are contributing in increasing the economy of the country along with strengthening the household income.

PM Modi said – women’s participation increased in every field

PM Modi said that out of the more than three crore houses that have been built under the housing scheme in India over the years, most of them are in the names of women. PM Awas Yojana has given women a new voice in the economic decisions of the household.

He said that today we are seeing that the number of women in India is increasing as compared to men. Be it medical field or sports field, business or political activities, not only the participation of women in India has increased but they are leading in every field by coming forward.

Prime Minister Modi said that under the Mahila Samman Savings Certificate Scheme, 7.5% interest rate will be given to women. PM Awas Yojana has also empowered the women who are housewives. This budget has a vision to create unicorns in self-help groups.

PM said – the country has moved forward with the vision of women lead development

The Prime Minister said that in the last 9 years, the country has moved ahead with the vision of women-led development. Looking at the experience of the past years, India has tried to take the efforts of women development to women lead development on the global platform.

He said that this topic figured prominently in the G20 meetings this time. This year’s budget will also give a new impetus to the efforts of women lead development. He said that we have to identify special opportunities for women in Vishwakarma Yojana and take them forward. GeM portal and e-commerce are also becoming a major medium to expand the business of women.
