PM Modi Australia Visit: Prime Minister Modi Australian PM Anthony Albanese Invited to India to witness the Cricket World Cup and Diwali celebrations. PM Modi, who is on a three-day visit to Australia, made these remarks at a joint press conference with PM Albanese after their bilateral meeting in Sydney. Referring to cricket, PM Modi said that India-Australia relations have entered ‘T20 mode’.
He said that I invite PM Anthony Albanese and all Australian cricket fans to India for the Cricket World Cup this year. At that time you will also get to see grand Diwali in India. He stressed that this is our sixth meeting in the last one year. This reflects the depth of our wide-ranging ties and the maturity of our ties.

Attack on temples discussed in meeting with Albanese
The Prime Minister said that he and PM Albanese discussed the attack on temples by separatist elements in Australia in a bilateral meeting. He said that such elements will not be tolerated which can jeopardize the relations between India and Australia.
PM Modi said that we will not accept any such element which by its actions or views harms the friendly and warm relations between India-Australia relations. PM Albanese today once again assured me that he will take strict action against such elements in future also.

What did PM Modi and Albanese say in the joint press conference?
- To promote renewable energy, PM Modi said that a task force on green hydrogen will be set up.
- PM Modi said that we had a constructive discussion on strengthening our strategic cooperation in the areas of mining and critical minerals. We have decided to set up a task force on green hydrogen.
- PM Albanese said both sides reiterated their shared ambition for early conclusion of the Australia-India Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement later this year.
- PM Modi said that the agreement will strengthen the economic partnership between the two countries and open new avenues in bilateral trade.
- PM Modi said that the perspective of India-Australia relations is not limited to only two countries. It is also associated with regional stability, peace and world welfare.
- PM Modi said that we also discussed the Indo-Pacific with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese at the Quad Summit. India Australia cooperation can also be beneficial in the progress of Global South

Albanese announces establishment of new embassy in Bengaluru
The Australian Prime Minister announced the establishment of a new Australian Consulate General in Bengaluru. A day earlier, PM Modi had said at a grand Indian community event at the Kudos Bank Arena that a new Indian consulate would soon be opened in Brisbane.
“I am also pleased to announce the establishment of a new Australian Consulate General in Bengaluru, which will help connect Australian businesses to India’s rapidly growing digital and innovation ecosystem,” Prime Minister Albanese said.
