Pakistan News: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan reached Lahore High Court on Monday with his wife Bushra Bibi. During the hearing, the Lahore High Court granted bail to Imran’s wife till May 23. Explain that Imran had reached the Lahore High Court with his wife to appear in the cases registered against them for setting fire to the Corps Commander’s house and other incidents of violence that erupted after his arrest last week.
During Imran Khan’s appearance in the Lahore High Court, his opponents reached the Supreme Court and staged a protest there. Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is protesting against the release of Imran Khan. Explain that the PDM is an organization of several parties, including the ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUIF) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
Imran was arrested from Islamabad High Court premises
The PTI chief was arrested last week outside the premises of the Islamabad High Court in a corruption case. After this there were protests against his arrest across the country. PTI President Imran was arrested by the Rangers when he reached the court for hearing in the corruption case. Later the Supreme Court declared this arrest illegal. Two days later, Imran got bail from the Islamabad High Court.
Imran returned home a day after bail
Despite being granted bail on Friday, Imran Khan returned to his Lahore home on Saturday after locking himself inside the Islamabad High Court (IHC) premises for hours fearing re-arrest, according to Pakistani media reports.
The IHC granted bail to Khan, 70, while restraining him from arrest in all cases registered after May 9, and asked him to approach the Lahore High Court on May 15 for further relief.
