New Delhi: The difficulties of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President and former Prime Minister Imran Khan are increasing continuously. Imran Khan also got some relief on Friday. He got bail from the Anti-Terrorism Court. Lahore’s Anti-Terrorism Court has granted anticipatory bail to Imran Khan till June 2. Imran was arrested on May 9 from the Islamabad High Court itself in the Al-Qadir Trust scam. After this there was a lot of ruckus. It is now reported that the District Municipal Corporation (DMC) East has sealed the cricket ground running in the name of Imran Khan at Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi.
Cricket ground was made on public park
The well-equipped cricket ground was built by former PTI MP Alamgir Khan with MNA funds. It has been sealed citing illegal commercial activities. The former PTI MNA named the sports facility after his party president and former Pakistan captain. As per reports, it was actually a public park where the residents of the nearby used to come with their families.
The name board of the ground was vandalized
DMC East received complaints from residents that the land was used for commercial purposes. The local government body today took action against the ground management and sealed the ground. According to a DMC spokesperson, the name of the ground was also not approved by the Zilla Parishad. The name board of the ground was vandalized and DMC East took over the ground. The general public will be allowed free entry after local authorities take over the ground.
