New Delhi: In the first T20 match between Afghanistan and Pakistan played in Sharjah on Friday, the bowlers of Afghanistan ripped apart the batsmen. The debut of four players who shone in PSL and the team under the leadership of captain Shadab Khan scored only 92 runs in 20 overs. After this Afghanistan won the match by 6 wickets with 13 balls to spare. Many players including Babar Azam Mohammad Rizwan have been rested from this series.
This can also happen because of youngsters being nervous
Captain Shadab Khan talked about the reason for the defeat after the match. He said, I think the strategy was right. Sometimes these things can happen because we have a lot of young players in our team. Sometimes it can happen because of youngsters being nervous, but they need to be given a chance, they will come back better. As professionals, we cannot make more excuses. It is a different ball game altogether. We had a lot of positives in bowling. Ihsanullah was excellent and so was Zaman Khan. Both were making their debut and were under pressure. We will give our 100 per cent in the next match.

less experienced players
There are few experienced players in Pakistan’s team. Most of them are youngsters who have done well in PSL recently. Pakistan made international debuts for opener Saim Ayub, middle-order batsman Tayyab Tahir, right-arm fast bowler Zaman Khan and Ihsanullah, but apart from Ihsanullah, none of the players could do much. Sam Ayub 17 and Tyeb Tahir were dismissed after scoring 16 runs. Ihsanullah took 2 wickets while Zaman Khan did not get a single wicket in 3 overs.
