New Delhi: The ODI World Cup will be held in India this year. Teams from all over the world are busy in their preparations for this. Meanwhile, a big statement of Pakistan captain Babar Azam has come to the fore. Babar Azam is focused on doing well in the ICC World Cup to be held in India this year. Azam, who is leading Peshawar Zalmi in the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), will be looking to do well in the mega event.

don’t rely on just two players

Azam said in an interview to Geo News, “We are focusing on the World Cup to be held in India. We will try to do well during the tournament. Babar further said- I will try to score runs with Mohammad Rizwan because we have a good combination at the top, but it is not possible to score in every innings, so it is important not to depend on only two players in the team. However, we have other players in the team who are eager to play a match-winning role for the team on the field.

criticism will continue

Azam also dismissed the criticism regarding his captaincy and batting style. He said- Criticism will continue because it is not possible that everyone will speak in your favor. I always try to be positive as it improves my confidence level. Peshawar Zalmi are fourth in the points table after six points from six matches in eight. He said- The journey so far with Peshawar Zalmi has been good. We made some mistakes due to which we could not win some matches. However, we will try to do better in the coming matches. The closing ceremony and final will be played on March 19 in Lahore, which will also host the play-offs. The winner will also be given a check of Rs 120 crore along with the trophy while the runner-up will get a check of Rs 48 million.
