Indira Gandhi’s killing celebration: The assassination of former Indian PM Indira Gandhi was celebrated during an event in Canada. Now this issue is catching fire in India. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar held a press conference in Delhi on Thursday on completion of 9 years of PM Modi’s foreign policy. Giving a direct warning to Canada, he said that this is not good for India-Canada relations. He linked vote bank politics behind the incident. That said, I think there is a larger issue involved.
Jaishankar said that to be frank, I do not understand what could be the reason other than vote bank politics in this? Why would anyone do this? I think there is a bigger issue related to the space given to separatists, extremists and advocates of violence. I think this is not true for Canada.

Rahul is hurt to defame the country
Foreign Minister Jaishankar also targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He said that he (Rahul Gandhi) has a habit that when he goes out, he criticizes the country. Comment about our politics. The world is watching that elections are held in this country and sometimes one party wins in the elections, sometimes the other party. If there is no democracy in the country, then such a change should not come… We know that the result of the 2024 elections will be the same.
