Minister had announced military exercise
South Korea’s Vice Minister of National Defense Policy Heo Tae-kyun told lawmakers on Friday that the two countries will hold joint field exercises in mid-March, which will be bigger than those held in the past few years.
The military says it was Pyongyang’s first missile test since earlier this year, days before Seoul and Washington began joint tabletop military exercises. Pyongyang fired more than 70 missiles last year. Which includes intercontinental ballistic missiles that have the capability to reach the US.
