Chris Hipkins: New Zealand Prime Minister Chris Hipkins arrived on a visit to China on Monday. However, his visit is in discussion for a surprising reason. Actually, Chris reached Beijing on a tour of China with two Air Force planes. One plane was carrying the Prime Minister and others, while the other plane was for backup. So that if there is any technical fault on the way, the Prime Minister can reach Beijing by another plane. However, there was no disturbance. At present, the PM has come under attack from his critics.
The Prime Minister’s Office defended the decision to send two planes as a backup. The PMO said that the emergency required a second aircraft. The second plane has only gone as far as the Philippines. According to the report of New Zealand Herald, PM has reached Beijing by Boeing 757 aircraft of Hipkins Air Force. These aircraft are 30 years old. These aircraft are to be replaced in 2028-30. Technical problems often occur in these aircraft.

Opponents made fun of PM Hipkins
National Party leader Christopher Luxon said that Hipkins should not have taken the two aircraft. He said that this consumed more fuel and released more carbon dioxide. Leader David Seymour said it was a shame and a sign of an aging air force.
Seymour said the planes of New Zealand’s shamefully antiquated defense force are so dilapidated that if one of them breaks down during a stopover the PM has to bring in a spare. The emissions generated by carrying the extra aircraft are equivalent to taking the Ford Ranger three times to the moon.
