Family settled in Auckland in the 80s
Satwant Singh’s brother and his family migrated to New Zealand in the 1980s. After this he settled in Auckland. There he opened a small grocery shop for livelihood. Being the nephew of Satwant Singh, Baltej used to frequent the local Gurdwaras.

Suddenly his wealth increased. Baltej Singh’s father became the owner of a real estate firm named Ray White. He has also bought a house worth more than Rs 100 crore. Sources told ANI that Baltej Singh is believed to be one of the primary masterminds and fundraisers of the anti-India and pro-Khalistan protests held in New Zealand. Baltej Singh is currently in jail and is facing trial for drug peddling.
