Navjot Singh Sidhu, released from Patiala jail, said as soon as he came out – ‘Revolution will come in the country’

Road Rage Case: Former Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu was released from Patiala Court on Saturday evening. Sidhu was sentenced to one year rigorous imprisonment by the Supreme Court in the road rage case. He was sent to jail on 20 May 2022. Coming out of the court, Sidhu made a statement in the media, ‘Whenever a dictator has come in this country, a revolution has come and this time the name of that revolution is Rahul Gandhi.

There was a crowd of his supporters to take him out of jail

There was a crowd of his supporters to take Sidhu out of jail. The supporters took him with drums and a large number of cars. Sidhu first thanked his loved ones after coming out of jail. He greeted them with folded hands and bowing his head.

These two reasons for early release from jail

Sidhu has not taken any leave in jail till now. He was entitled to four leaves in a month as per the jail manual. Second, keeping in view his good conduct, he has been released prematurely. Incidentally, Sidhu’s sentence was ending on May 19.

Wife did an emotion tweet

If legal experts are to be believed, 4 to 5 days’ relaxation is given in a month depending on the progress of the assigned work and the conduct of the prisoners. Earlier, his wife had tweeted an emotion. He wrote that it is absolutely true, Navjot Singh Sidhu’s love for Punjab has been more than anything. I got angry and asked for death to teach them a lesson. Was waiting for God’s grace. This is stage two fatal cancer.

Navjot Singh Sidhu was sentenced to one year in jail by the Supreme Court in May in the 1988 road rage case. Sidhu surrendered before the court on May 20 and was sent to Patiala Central Jail. Former Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu had lost from his constituency Amritsar (East) in the last assembly elections.
