Forbes World’s Billionaires List 2023: Forbes has released the list of billionaires of 2023 on Tuesday. In this, Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries, has been placed at the 9th position in the list of the world’s billionaires. At the same time, Asia’s richest billionaire has been declared. His net worth is US$83.4 billion.
Mukesh Ambani was ranked 10th on the list last year with an estimated net worth of $90.7 billion. Mukesh Ambani is richer than Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer, Google’s Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and Dell Technologies’ Michael Dell.
Adani is the richest after Ambani
On the other hand, Gautam Adani has got a big blow. He was the second richest person in India in the previous list but has slipped to 24th position after the recent fall in the share prices of the group companies.
Gautam Adani’s net worth was estimated at US$ 47.2 billion. Whereas, Shiv Nadar of HCL Technologies is third among billionaire Indians with a net worth of US$ 25.6 billion and a global ranking of 55.

Billionaires decreased in the world in a year, but increased in India
According to Forbes, there has been a decline in the number of billionaires in the world. Last year where there were 2,668 billionaires in the world. And now their number has increased to 2,640. However, the number of billionaires in India has increased from 166 in 2022 to 169 this year. The total wealth of billionaires now stands at US$12.2 trillion, down $500 billion from US$12.7 trillion in March 2022.
