Ingredients for Moong Dal Halwa
Yellow moong dal – 1 cup Milk – 1 cup Saffron – 1 pinch Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp Almond slivers – 2 tbsp Desi ghee – 1/2 cup Sugar – 1 cup
To make moong dal halwa, first you have to clean the dal properly. Also keep it soaked in water for 3 hours. After this, clean it and filter it by putting it in a sieve and remove all the water.
After this, grind the lentils well. After this, take a little lukewarm milk in a bowl and add saffron to it, mix it well with a spoon and keep it aside.
After this, put ghee in a pan, add coarsely ground paste of moong dal and fry it. When it turns golden brown, add one cup of milk and one cup of lukewarm water to it and mix it well.
After this add sugar as per taste and mix it well. Also let it cook. After this add saffron milk and cardamom powder and mix it.
After this, let it cook while stirring. When you feel that it is cooked well, then you turn off the gas. Along with this, you can also add dry fruits to it. Now your pudding is ready, serve it to eat.
