Monsoon Update: Since the onset of monsoon, water-logging and floods are wreaking havoc in many states of the country. Due to the rains, there has been a flood-like situation in Gujarat. In addition to disaster response forces, the Indian Air Force has been pressed into service to assist in rescue operations in the affected areas. Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Sunday and assured him of all possible help from the Centre.

Light rain forecast in Delhi-NCR
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a generally cloudy sky and light rain for Sunday. The IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in parts of Goa till July 4. The coastal state is already receiving incessant rains, leading to water-logging in many areas.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with heavy to very heavy rain at a few places over West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh during next 5 days.
Flood like situation in low lying areas of Bihar
Due to torrential rains and water-logging, a flood-like situation has arisen in many low-lying areas of Bihar. Heavy rains have led to water-logging in districts like Araria, Purnia, Madhepura, Saharsa, Jamui, Katihar and Banka.

Light to moderate rains are likely over Kerala and Karnataka during next five days and over Andhra Pradesh from July 3 to July 6.
