Mickey Arthur becomes director of Pakistan team, will face India in this big tournament

New Delhi: Mickey Arthur has been appointed as the Director of Pakistan Cricket Team. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officially appointed him on Thursday. In this role, Arthur will be involved in formulating and overseeing the strategy behind the Pakistan men’s team, said a statement from the board. Arthur will also be part of the coaching staff for the Cricket World Cup 2023, Australia tour and the home series against the West Indies. He will also be present with the team for Pakistan’s matches against India in the ACC Asia Cup.

Prepare strategy for upcoming assignments

During his stint from 2016 to 2019, Arthur coached Pakistan in Tests and T20Is. Also helped the team win the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. PCB Management Committee Chairman Najam Sethi said- I am delighted that Mickey has formally joined the Pakistan men’s cricket team with an enhanced role in which he will be responsible for formulating and implementing strategy for upcoming assignments across all formats. Will be responsible.

Apart from this, he will also be responsible for strengthening the culture of the national team, identifying and grooming future stars. Sethi said- We will be able to strengthen our bench strength.

Speaking on the occasion, Arthur said that he is thrilled to be rejoining the Pakistan cricket team and is looking forward to working with the team. My endeavor is to implement strategies and create an environment that can contribute to further enhance their performance.
