Mexico Shootout: The shooting occurred during a car racing show in Baja California, northern Mexico, on Saturday. During this, 10 racers are reported to have been killed while 9 others are said to be injured.
According to the Baja California State Attorney General’s Office, the incident occurred during an all-terrain car racing show in the San Vicente area of the city of Ensenada. Reports of the 911 call showed that some men got out of a gray van and fired wildly at the participants at around 2:18 am (2118 GMT).
Baja California is infamous for drug trafficking
It is being told that the area where the firing incident took place is infamous for drug smuggling. After receiving information about the firing, the state police along with other agencies reached the spot and shifted the injured to the nearest hospital. It is being told that the identity of the victims has not yet been made public.
