According to the information, the injured were admitted to the hospital of the city of Magdalena Peñasco by the personnel of the Tlaxiao Civil Protection. Due to the shortage of medical personnel in the hospital, help was sought from all the doctors in the city to treat the injured.
Death toll rises from 25 to 27
It was initially reported that 25 people were killed and 17 injured were admitted to the IMSS clinic in Tlaxiao. However, due to the severity of the injuries, two people succumbed to their injuries, taking the death toll to 27. Jesus Romero Lopez, secretary general of Oaxaca’s government, said the accident occurred at around 6:30 a.m. (local time).
The dead included 13 women and a newborn.
