The killer, Alvaro, is a builder by profession. He was married last year to Maria Montserrat. Maria was already married. He has five daughters. The elder daughter is 23 years old and the younger daughter is 12 years old. Alvaro killed his wife on 29 June. The accused allegedly told the police that Santa Muerte (Our Lady of Holy Death) and the devil had ordered him to kill his wife.
