The Congress President, who arrived at the Parliament wearing a black cloth to protest against the JPC’s demand on the Adani issue and Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification, said that the Congress party welcomes every person or party who is coming forward to protect democracy.

Kharge said – PM Modi is ending democracy in the country

Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge said that we have come in black clothes because we want to show that PM Modi is destroying democracy in the country. They first abolished the autonomous bodies, then they installed their government everywhere by threatening those who won the elections. Then they used ED, CBI to make those who did not bow down.

Kharge said – Welcome everyone who comes to protect democracy

Kharge said that we welcome anyone who comes forward to protect democracy and the Constitution. We express our heartfelt gratitude to those who are supporting us. Let us inform that many opposition parties including TMC, Aam Aadmi Party have supported the opposition of Congress after the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi.

Kharge asked- How did Adani’s wealth increase?

On the opposition’s demand for a joint parliamentary committee on the Adani issue, Kharge said, “We want the truth to come out.” If Adani’s wealth has increased in just two and a half years, what could be the reason behind it? If he has magic that can do this, we’d like to tell the citizens the same. He said that if the JPC is formed, then we will come to know about the magic and people will also come to know.

Protested by wearing black clothes in other states of the country as well

Apart from Parliament, Congress leaders in other states also protested against the suspension of Rahul Gandhi by wearing black clothes.
