Asian Athletics Championships: On July 12 i.e. Wednesday in Thailand’s capital Bangkok Asian Athletics Championship Tournament 2023 is starting. The tournament is being organized on the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the governing body. This time Ram devotee Bajrangbali has been made the official mascot of the athletics championship.
The Asian Athletics Association has Website said, ‘Since Hanuman exhibits extraordinary abilities including speed, strength, courage and intelligence in the service of Rama. Hanuman’s greatest ability, in fact, is his incredibly steadfast loyalty and devotion. For this reason, it has been decided to make Bajrangbali the mascot.
The logo of the 25th Asian Athletics Championships 2023 depicts the athletes participating in the Games, showcasing their skill, teamwork, athleticism, dedication and sportsmanship.
Medal hopes from Tajinderpal Singh and Murali
Led by shot putter Tajinderpal Singh Toor and long jumper Murali Sreesankar, India will be hoping for an impressive show at the championships. The Indian team left for the five-day Asian Athletics Championships from Delhi and Bengaluru on Saturday night.
