New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday filed a charge sheet in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court in the Bihar land-for-jobs scam case. Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav and several other people including companies have been made accused in the chargesheet. RJD chief and former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav, Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav and former CM Rabri Devi are already facing probe in this case.
Lalu family’s problems increased
Lalu Yadav family’s difficulties are increasing in the case of land in lieu of job. In this case, on May 18, the ED had questioned former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi. Rabri Devi was also questioned by the CBI in this case. He had recorded his statement under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in this case. In this case, ED has already questioned Tejashwi Yadav and Misa Bharti.
ED had searched
The ED had also searched the house of Lalu Yadav’s family members and close friends in this case some time ago. He also claimed to have seized unaccounted cash worth Rs 1 crore in the raid. The CBI had sought details of properties purchased in the names of all members of the Lalu family. This includes his daughter and son-in-law.

It is worth mentioning that from 2004 to 2009, Lalu Yadav was the Railway Minister. Land in lieu of job is related to railway recruitment. It is alleged that Lalu Yadav, while being the Railway Minister in the UPA government from 2004 to 2009, gave jobs to people in exchange for land. According to the allegation, Yadav issued advertisements without being the railway minister. Many people were recruited for Group-D jobs in Railways. In return, people had to give land. In this case, CBI has registered a case against Lalu Yadav and his family.
